Dream Retreats designs and installs in-ground trampolines across the East Valley and greater Phoenix as a Trampolines.com Premier Installer. We handle the whole build: excavation, a bonded retaining wall, drainage and ventilation engineered for desert soil and monsoon storms, then a clean turf or paver finish so the trampoline sits flush with the yard.

Expert In-Ground Trampoline Installation for the East Valley

An in-ground trampoline is dirt work, drainage and a structural wall before it is ever a trampoline, which is why it belongs with a landscape contractor rather than a handyman. For more than 30 years Dream Retreats has built backyards in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek and Scottsdale, so we already know how caliche, expansive clay and summer monsoons behave on Valley lots. As a Trampolines.com Premier Installer we install their in-ground kits, including the Avyna Pro Line, BERG and JumpYeti models from the Trampolines.com catalog, and integrate the trampoline into the rest of your outdoor living plan: turf, pavers, shade and lighting, designed together by our licensed landscape architect.

Full-Service Design & Installation

From the first site walk to the final safety check, we coordinate every phase so you are never the one chasing trades.

Engineered for Desert Soil

We probe for caliche and expansive clay before excavation and plan the wall and base around what we find, so the pit stays square and the frame stays level through years of summer heat.

Drainage & Ventilation Built In

A pitched pit floor, perforated drain line and airflow gap keep monsoon water out and let the mat breathe, which is what gives an in-ground trampoline its bounce and keeps the pit from turning into a pond.

Flush, Finished Surround

The frame sits level with the yard and is finished with artificial turf, pavers or planting, so the trampoline reads as part of the landscape rather than a hole in it.

Our process starts with layout and utility locates, then excavation to the depth the kit requires, a bonded block or engineered steel retaining wall, drainage and ventilation, trampoline assembly, backfill and grading, and finally the turf or paver surround. Every install ends with a full safety check before the kids get on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about adding an in-ground trampoline to your backyard? Here are answers to a few we hear often.

It depends on the trampoline size and shape, how hard the soil is, how far excavated dirt has to travel, and the finish around it. Rather than quote a generic number, we walk your yard, probe the soil and give you a firm, itemized on-site estimate at no charge, including any upgrades like enclosures, lighting or turf.

We mark utilities, excavate a bowl-shaped pit to the kit’s depth, build a bonded retaining wall, install drainage and ventilation, assemble the trampoline, backfill and grade, then finish the surround with turf, pavers or planting. Once excavation starts, most installs are completed in a matter of days, depending on soil and the finish you choose.

Valley lots often hide caliche or expansive clay a foot or two down, so we probe before we dig and plan the wall and base accordingly. The pit floor is pitched to a perforated drain with an outlet, and an airflow gap keeps the mat bouncing properly, so a monsoon downpour drains instead of pooling.

A properly installed in-ground trampoline removes the fall-from-height risk of an above-ground frame and needs no ladder, and the frame and springs sit below grade behind padding. Safety nets and enclosures are still available and we recommend them for younger children. Adult supervision and one jumper at a time remain the rule.

Most East Valley HOAs treat an in-ground trampoline as a landscape feature, but review requirements vary and pool-barrier clearances apply near a pool, so we check both for your address before we design. And yes, the surround is part of the design: artificial turf, pavers or a planted edge, flush with the frame.
